Afternoon Awesomeness!

I don't know if you've ever met me, but I hate getting rid of things.  Mommy calles me her "little hoarder" sometimes.  Once in a while, hanging on to things pays off!

For example, Mommy was hanging on to this sweater vest that a neighbor gave us for Daddy.  Daddy hates sweater vests, so nobody knows why Mommy kept it.  Anyway, when she found it taking up space in the closet, she almost threw it into a giveaway bag.

But then we both had an idea: sweater dress!!!

So we took this:

Yeah, booooooo!

We pinned under the arms and down
the sides to make it fit.

It's pinned! I'm pretty happy about it!

Then we (yes, the two of us, as sweaters are new
sewing territory for both of us) stitched with
a mix of straight stitching and zig-zag stitching.

Then Mommy cut away the excess.

TAAADAAAAA!!!

I already have it in my mind to pair it with bright pink
tights and a matching bright pink hat!

This refashion took less than an hour!  Mommy said we should've done it during the baby's nap so that she could actually get pictures of me at the machine.  I'm getting to be pretty good!  Anyway, with the thread we used, it was a project that cost fractions of a cent.  I'll get a lot of use out of it as winter drags on, too.  And if the sleeves are too small next fall/winter, Mommy said we can chop them off and just turn it into a jumper.  Time will tell!

Up next: the hat I made with my knitting loom from my Avia!  It's my favorite color!!!
